HUDSON FALLS -- The case of the Hudson Falls man who claimed workers' compensation insurance but was then photographed skydiving will be featured on "Good Morning America" on Monday morning.

Jacob H. Bancroft, 28, of East Labarge Street, was charged in April with grand larceny, insurance fraud falsifying business records and workers' compensation fraud, according to the state Insurance Department.

He is accused of receiving $83,000 in worker's compensation payments to which he was not entitled over 18 months in 2007 and 2008.

The payments were made after Bancroft complained he could not work because of a back injury he said he suffered while working as a press operator at Irving Tissue's mill in Fort Edward, officials said.

His case will be featured on the morning news show that airs locally on WTEN Channel 10, the Albany ABC affiliate.

Bancroft's case is expected to be featured in the first hour of the show, which starts at 7 a.m., said Washington County District Attorney Kevin Kortright on Friday.

Kortright said his office faxed information on Bancroft's to the program's producers.

The case is currently in Washington County Court in the motions stage, Kortright said.
