QUEENSBURY -- The 28-year-old Glens Falls woman who was a passenger in the car that slammed head-on into a pickup truck on Wednesday is still in critical condition at Albany Medical Center.
Michelle DuRoss, suffered broken ribs and internal injuries after Nick Hoffmeister, 22, of Queensbury, slammed a Honda Civic into a truck on Big Bay Road early Wednesday morning.
Hoffmeister fled the scene and police said they found him a couple hours later near Curtis Lumber.
He was charged with the misdemeanors of DWI, aggravated unlicensed operation and leaving the scene of a personal injury motor vehicle accident.
