SHUSHAN -- A 33-year-old Shushan woman was killed Tuesday evening in a one-car crash in the Vermont town of Bennington.
Raechel L. Lathrop, 33, died after driving her car into a utility pole on Ore Bed Road in the town.
According to the Bennington Banner newspaper, Lathrop initially survived the crash and walked away before collapsing on the lawn of a nearby residence.
Police said she was talking with police when she was overcome by seizures.
She was taken to Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, where she died after suffering cardiac arrest in the ambulance on the way.
Lathrop was the only occupant of the vehicle, and no other people were injured in the crash.
