The issue is not the rifle itself, but the fact that it was loaded in the car, which is illegal. So, CJames, this is not a Second Amendment issues as you think it is. He legally owns the firearm, but you can not drive around with it loaded. Also, the type of ammo that he had with it may have been illegal as well.

Last time I checked, the 10th Amendment was the premise for allowing states to regulate their own gun laws. States' rights, know what I mean :-)
