FORT EDWARD -- A 20-year-old Granville man was sentenced to two to six years in prison Thursday after pleading guilty to forgery.

Mark Bardin was arrested in February after law enforcement officials found he was scanning $20 bills into his computer and printing them out using a color copier, said Washington County District Attorney Kevin Kortright.

"They were really, really good quality," Kortright said.

Bardin pleaded guilty in October to first-degree criminal forgery, a felony, Kortright said.

Also before the court on Thursday:

* A Glens Falls woman was sentenced to 1-1/2 to 3 years in prison for a May incident when she smashed several computers with a hammer at the Association of Mental Health. Christine Blakeman had previously been on probation for arson after she set her apartment building on fire in 2002.

* A Hudson Falls man was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in prison for second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument. Assistant District Attorney Katherine Henley said Michael Didio, of 28 Pearl St., was arrested for possessing fraudulent checks in May and had pleaded guilty on Oct. 7.
