WARRENSBURG -- An 18-year-old Warrensburg man was arrested on felony charges Wednesday after police discovered lewd photographs of a 15-year-old girl on a cell phone that had been found by the side of a road.
David G. Robinson of 846 State Route 28 was charged with felony counts of promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance of a child, according to the Warren County Sheriff's Office.
Police said they began their investigation Sept. 16 after finding the phone containing the images near the side of a road. They determined that the phone belonged to Robinson and that he had taken photos of a 15-year-old girl at his home in Warrensburg.
Robinson was arraigned in Queensbury Town Court and sent to the Warren County Jail for lack of bail. He is scheduled to appear in Warrensburg Town Court at a later date.
Police said additional charges against Robinson are pending because he admitted to having sexual contact with the girl.
This investigation was conducted by sheriff's Investigator Maurice Aldrich, Investigator Douglas David and Patrol Officer Harry Spahn.
