QUEENSBURY -- A Glens Falls man who was second-in-command of a large illegal drug sales organization was sentenced to 5 years in state prison Wednesday in Warren County Court.

Daymone "Los" Green, 21, pleaded guilty to a felony charge of criminal possession of a controlled substance for his role in a ring that sold large amounts of crack cocaine and heroin from a Fredella Avenue, Glens Falls, apartment.

In September, Green accepted a plea deal that would result in a 7-year prison sentence if he cooperated against the group's leader, Paris "SunNY BlaCK" Pettiford. He could have been sentenced to 14 years in prison if he didn't cooperate.

Prosecutors also offered him a sentencing break if he waived his right to appeal, which Green agreed to do Wednesday. That resulted in a 5-year prison term, with 2 years of parole, imposed by Warren County Judge John Hall.

Pettiford and two others pleaded guilty. Pettiford is awaiting sentencing.

Police seized 5.4 ounces of crack, 386 baggies of heroin and $13,000 in cash during a June 18 raid at the home Pettiford and Green shared.
