Memory Tree Ceremony -- The Newcomb Mountain Quilters will sponsor the annual memory tree ceremony at 3 p.m. Dec. 6 at the Newcomb Fire Hall. Featured will be stuffed grape leaves, rolled cabbage, kibbee, spanikopita, pastichio, cabbage with sausage, spinach and meat pies, Syrian bread and a large array of desserts, including baklava.
WHITEHALL
Christmas Bazaar -- Whitehall United Methodist Church, 56 Greenmount Cemetery Lane, will hold its Christmas bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Featured will be Christmas crafts, decorations, a bake shop, kid's shop, flea market room, Rada cutlery to buy or order, and the WMC Cookbooks from 1968 with great old recipes. Lunch will feature soup, made-to-order sandwiches, chips, gingerbread with whipped cream or homemade lemon sauce, cake and beverages. Doughnuts, muffins and coffee will be available in the morning.
