Richard & Carol Mercier of Fort Edward recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They were married on June 27th, 1959 at Saint Joseph Church in Fort Edward. A surprise party was held at Lillian's Restaurant in Saratoga Springs, given by their children.
They are the proud parents of 5 children: Glenn Mercier of Derby Line, Vermont, Linda Fiorillo of Fort Edward, Paul Mercier of Fort Edward and Randy Mercier of Wilton and the Late Peggy Long. They are the proud Grandparents of Sarah Fiorillo, Sonya Renaudette, Richard Mercier, Bruce Long, Jennifer Langolis, Noah Mercier, Mike Fiorillo, Brandon and Paige Mercier and their Great-Grandchildren Jasmine Langolis, Jayden Mercier and Marcus Langolis.
Richard and Carol are long time residents of Fort Edward. Richard is retired as Highway Superintendent of Fort Edward and Carol is retired from the General Electric Company of Fort Edward. The Mercier's enjoy treasured time entertaining their friends and family, traveling to Vermont, Maine, Arizona, California and Florida to visit their family and friends. Their favorite time is spent in their back yard during the summer in their pool.
