Gillibrand to visit Capital District on Saturday
U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, and Rep. Paul Tonko, D-Amsterdam, will make three appearances in the region on Saturday, with stops in Fulton, Montgomery and Schenectady counties.
The schedule is as follows:
* 1:30 p.m. — meets with business leaders and elected officials to discuss economic development at Fulton County Courthouse, 223 W. main Street in Johnstown
* 2:20 p.m. — meets with Amsterdam Mayor Ann Thane to discuss plans for waterfront and other local development efforts at Amsterdam City Hall at 61 Church St. in Amsterdam
* 3 p.m. — joins Schenectady Mayor Brain Stratton and county Legislator Susan Savage to announce a legislative initiative to prevent senior citizens from becoming victims of fraud and financial scams. The announcement will be at Proctors Theater, 432 State St. in Schenectady
