Phantoms move home game to Philly

The Phantoms have moved their home game on Friday, Dec. 4 against Norfolk to the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia. The arena is home of the Flyers and the Phantoms have frequently played there over the years.

The Flyers began sending out e-mails to fans on  Friday and the Phantoms officially announced the move Saturday. This possibility was included in the team’s contract with the city and is not unexpected.

one could say the phantoms will be playing 79 road games and only one home game this year… or at least that is what they may say 3 years from now…?

They will allow us to trade it in for a playoff game…It’s worth it.

Great news for us in Philly, although I’m not sure how happy I’d be if I were a Phantoms season ticket holder. I’m assuming they knew about this before hand?
