Yes, there really is a Kalamazoo …

…. And you’ll likely be hearing plenty about it this winter.

On Wednesday, the Flyers announced they reached an affiliation agreement with the  Kalamazoo Wings of the ECHL.

The Wings replace the Mississippi Sea Wolves, who were the Flyers affiliate for one season. This is the second time the Wings have been a Flyers affiliate. They were also the affiliate between 1984-85 and 1986-87.

“We are pleased to have the Kalamazoo Wings as our ECHL affiliate and look forward to a strong working relationship with them,” Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren said in a release.

In case you’re wondering, yes,  they really do sell those shirts in Kalamazoo.
