Murphy already a target of conservative PAC

Anyone out there experiencing 20th Congressional District campaign withdrawal?

Take heart — the next round of political jousting is already in the works.

Our Country Deserves Better, a conservative political action committee, announced Wednesday it has scheduled a rally at 5 p.m. Sept. 10 in Albany to target new U.S. Rep. Scott Murphy, D-Glens Falls.

The rally will be a stop on a cross country “Tea Party Express” tour from August 28-Sept. 12.

“It will be a two-week long tour targeting politically vulnerable tax-and-spend liberals across the country,” said Kelly Eustis, a spokesman for the California-based organization.

Murphy took office last week, after winning the March 31 special election for the 20th Congressional District seat vacated when Kirsten Gillibrand, D-Greenport, was appointed to the U.S. Senate.

Murphy won by just over 50 percent of the vote against Republican James Tedisco, a state Assemblyman from Glenville.

Our Country Deserves Better PAC ran radio and television commercials targeting Murphy and supporting Tedisco during the special election campaign.

Murphy is expected to run for re-election in 2010.

Got a really nice response from Murphy thanking me for informing him of my thoughts on Cap and Trade. Of course he ignored them then proceeded to list all the Pelosi clone reasons why they want to tax us to death. Fot those of you out their that believe in all the partisan BS I thank you for helping destroy our republic. WAKE up see what they are doing to all our right controlling us through taxation. BOTH parties are to blame.

I don’t believe I would say that that the criminals are running the asylum. No, instead I believe I would say that the patients are running the asylums
But all those patients were voted into office; Senators Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, Evan Bayh, Roland Burris, Chuck Schumer Arlen Specter and Blanche Lincoln. And let’s not forget Congresspersons Dana Titus, Ann Kirkpatrick, Debbie Halvorson, John Adler, Jim Himes, Chris Dodd, Scott Murphy, Christopher Carney, Jack Murtha, Jason Altmire, John Boccieri, Gary Peters, Mark Schauer, Debbie Halvorson, Baron Hill, Chet Edwards, Ciro Rodriguez, Harry Teague, Martin Heinrich and Harry Mitchell. But let us snot forget our darling who disavows the lying CIA the speaker of the house Nancy Pelosi.

The criminals are running the asylum! That is why each and every pick by this admin is ripped before it happens! Do you not see all of the selections for office that are tax deadbeats? Do you really think they care about you more than power and control? After this we will all love Bush I’m afraid! Already outspent Bush’s 8 years of reckless spending in 80 days people!! Our country cannot sustain this! WAKEUP!! Unless a third party emmerges the republicans are the only real choice of sanity!

  4. kramervskramer says:

Poor Argyleguy years of back taxes………why can’t Republicans ever stop lying? Chect out factcheck.org and cite an example if you want to dispute it. You’re too young to believe the BS. Face it Tedisco lost! Treadwell lost! Sweeney lost!
The GOP is dead, deal with it!

  5. ArgyleGuy says:

And no, Obama doesn’t have an approval rating of 75%. You’re insane. It’s completely party line, whereas GWB had a more broad approval rating during his first year in office.

  6. ArgyleGuy says:

kramervskramer: the fact is, he sold the company that owed years of back taxes. It is true though that the entity acquiring the business would be responsible for the taxes though.

  7. kramervskramer says:

Scorpion Major surveys say Obama has a 75% Approval rating. Reality sucks, so deal with it!

  8. kramervskramer says:

indeguy how many Tea Parties before April 14th did you attend? How many have you been to after? They don’t exist, except in your mind.
Obama got elected, not anointed. Sad that you have to be reminded of that over and over, but maybe you’ll get up to speed with remediation.

  9. kramervskramer says:

Argyleguy your continued claim on back taxes is disingenuous. Factcheck.org verified that iXL was responsible for the taxes after acquisition. Keep up with that meme, it only keeps proving the GOP is dead, deal with it!

  10. ArgyleGuy says:

The Democrats are listed because they are the worst offenders. The PAC who is running the “Tea Party Express” was going after Specter before he switched parties.

  11. independentguy says:

not all these so called tea parties are Republican controlled. us independents have been doing it well before Obama got annointed and we would still be having our “tea parties” if Tedisco got elected. both dems and repubs need to be tar and feathered.

  12. rvs says:

I don’t see anything against the Republicans in the march for Aug – I do not believe only the Democrat’s are quilty–look at the money mr bush gave to wall street to bail out the fat cats–sorry if this is what the tea party is then I don’t have any interest in it. If you are good grass root tea party – I believe some Repulicans should be included – the republicans only give to the rich and big business.

    And the beat goes on!

  14. mazdaman says:

Alls i here is “give them a chance”…..to do what…drive down the economy more?? Just because NY is a blue state…doesn’t mean you have to vote for people who are not up to the task of “representing” all of his/her area. Wake up NY…keep voting in people who keep taking our money…that will help ALL of US!!

  15. scorpion says:

Amazing how all the lies and corruption on the Democratic side get lost in the liberal media, and is anyone else sick of seeing Obama EVERY SINGLE DAY, he must really be impressed with himself. Guess what WE THE PEOPLE are not buying it.

  16. lunaticfringe says:

Yo citizen, we gave Obama a chance. Look what he’s doing to us. If you don’t get it, don’t cast your vote. We need governance that acts like their responsibility is to represent us, not themselves. I truly believe parties were dreamed up to give us something to root for. It’s people that matter not parties. The vast majority of our problems are government related!!!

  17. ArgyleGuy says:

He only won with 50.1% of the vote.

He has supported the “porkulus” bill, spoken badly about our military, and owed back taxes.

He can be voted out easily, that is why the PAC is targeting him.

  18. nortnort says:

This is the Dead Elephant Party at its best. A strong two party system is necessary in our political system, but these folks don’t cut it. The party of Lincoln has be come the party the lunatic fringe.

  19. cg57 says:

the next election is next year so its not surprising the he’s being targeted already. He needs to start campaigning for re-election soon.

  20. cg57 says:

20th, if you wait to develop opposition until the nomination, you won’t have time to mount a counter arguement. Its just part of the process. I think as long as Obama picks someone reasonable, not an bench activist, it will go thru. Its not going to change the makeup of the court since Souter turned out to be a liberal. I’ll just hope that whoever is nominated turns out to be lying about which way they lean like Souter was to the first President Bush.

  21. Maury Thompson says:

Actually the congressman has cast at least two votes — one on a housing related bill and one on a credit card reform bill. — Maury Thompson

  22. ChannelZ says:

Way to go, teabaggers! How contrived does your opposition look when the man has not cast a single vote?

  23. 20th district citizen says:

why don’t these folks give Congressman Murphy a chance to represent the 20th CD. He may just do a fine job. I think most reasonable people are willing to do that.

It’s as bad as the GOP organizing in opposition of Pres. Obama’s pick for SCOTUS, a candidate that’s not even been nominated.
