Never can say goodbye

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Hey guys,

Though our girls volleyball coverage is far from over, all of our area teams have wrapped up their seasons. Both Lake George and Queensbury were defeated in its respective sectional final games on Wednesday.

Our photographer was present at both games and he got some great shots. Click here for the Lake George game and here for the Queensbury game.

When a season ends, I tend to think about the players and how sad it is for them to say goodbye to a group of girls they’ve spent so much time with. I never thought about what the season means to a coach. So many of the coaches I spoke to during this sectional run told me how much fun they have during the season. They told me about how much they enjoy having a house full of loud girls laughing and eating each week. It’s complete chaos and they love it. As a fan of chaos I completely understand.

JUST SO YOU KNOW: I will have the Foothills Council and the Adirondack League all-stars posted on the blog soon.

ALSO: The Post-Star all-stars will run within the next few weeks.
